    Product Description

    DESCRIPTION

    About Designer

Jacob Lundquist was born and raised in northern Minnesota and recently moved to the big city of Minneapolis. With a Bachelor's of Science in Design, he has been an Industrial Designer, CNC Machinist, and Manufacturing Engineer for nearly 20 years. Jacob has always had a passion for knives, starting with a Swiss Army Knife given to him when he was young. Despite cutting himself immediately, he was hooked. Since then, he can’t remember a time when he didn’t have a pocket knife on him.

In June of 2021, he officially established Qvist Bladeworks LLC. Now, Jacob is expanding his focus to design and create more EDC (Everyday Carry) items, custom knives, production runs, and more. This vision led to the creation of Jacob Lundquist Design. Through design collaborations, Jacob feels he can explore new possibilities within the EDC world, experimenting with more than just knives.

    About Design

Jacob's drive for this design was to push his design language to its limit and introduce new ideas! He wanted it to embody everything a JLD knife is: great ergonomics, lefty-friendly, a great user experience, fun to open and close, and more. This represents the largest departure from his traditional aesthetics but still remains true to his love for clean lines and great details. Jacob hopes everyone enjoys the Vivid as much as he does and finds it as enjoyable to use!
    .

    FEATURES

    • Versatile Wharncliffe Blade Made From CPM S35VN or Damascus
The Vivid features a Wharncliffe blade made from CPM S35VN or Damascus steel, offering excellent precision, a strong tip for piercing, and a versatile straight edge, making it ideal for detailed cutting tasks and everyday carry.
    • Contoured Dual-Material Handle Construction
The Vivid features a contoured dual-material handle, combining two materials(Titanium and Carbon Fiber) for enhanced durability and aesthetics. Its ergonomic, curved design fits naturally in the hand, providing a comfortable and secure grip for all-day use.
    • Multiple Deployment Options
The Vivid pocket knife offers multiple opening methods, featuring both an elongated hole and a crossbar lock for versatile deployment. With caged ceramic ball bearings, the action is incredibly smooth and responsive, ensuring effortless opening every time.
    • Fidgety Crossbar Lock Mechanism
The Axis Lock/Crossbar Lock mechanism offers a smooth, intuitive opening and closing action that is both functional and fun to use. Its tactile, satisfying motion makes it a favorite for those who enjoy the interactive, "fidgety" nature of the lock.
    • Reverible Deep Carry Pocket Clip
The deep carry pocket clip allows the knife to sit low in the pocket, providing discreet and secure carry while ensuring quick accessibility whenever needed. The pocket clip is also reversible, allowing for versatile positioning and enabling users to customize their carry preference for either left or right-handed use.
