About Designer
Being born and raised in Southern California, Matt split his summers between the beaches of Orange County and mountains of Yosemite. It was there (in Yosemite) during a fishing trip with his father, he was given his first pocket knife. Many years later, he discovered the custom knife world and began designing and building handmade knives in his garage.
About Design
Matt designed the Stellar as a take on the box cutter. He made it into a frame lock flipper with a minimalist flipper tab.

Kansept Stellar, Stellar? Darn right it is!!
Matt Degan absolutely smashed it with this little beauty. I avoided this knife for so long until the day finally came when I couldn't any longer. The MD Stellar is best described as a utility blade on steroids with design asthetics that Mr. Enzo Ferrari himself would more than likely approve of. Ive a rather large hand so I was dubious as to how this stunning little example was actually going to fair ergonomically, to my surprise even though it's most certainly for me a three finger hold with my pinky resting in the not needed quite yet section, the Stellar melted away in my hand & became extremely comfortable for me personally, your mileage may vary, it was more like an old friend had returned rather than my hand meeting something new. It's extremely slicey, sturdy, capable & VERY easy on the eye, 5 out of 5 Matt Degan, this one's a keeper mate!
