The Spyderco Police 4 has been a staple in the Spyderco lineup since it was released in the 1980's. This Police 4 Lightweight follows in that tradition, but in a lighter, easier to carry form.
The Police 4 Lightweight uses textured FRN handle scales to save nearly an ounce and half versus the traditional stainless steel handled version. The flat ground K390 blade makes this one an amazing slicer and allows for easy maintenance.

Spyderco Police 4 Lightweight
I have always been a fan of the large Police line, mainly for field or camping and was not disappointed here. The weight is as stated, light, for the knife size but the build is strong with a dependable lock up. The ergonomics defy the size, being a very comfortable knife to handle. The real stand out is the K390 high carbon steel which takes an extraordinary sharp edge and retains it for a very long time. Very happy with the purchase and will be looking for more products in the K390 steel range.
